School Year 2007-2008
Linda Silverberg Miller, School Director
Linda Silverberg Miller is delighted to return for her second year as School Director and teacher of students in 4th-5th grade. After acquiring teaching and law degrees, Linda realized her true passion was being a Jewish educator, after which she enrolled in Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies in Chicago. For nine years, Linda was the (founding) director of Camp Sholom Chaverim in Napa, California, and for the past three yeas has served as the (founding) director of Camp B'nai Chaverim in Vallejo, California. She is particularly excited to see the curriculum she developed in partnership with Linda Fogel be in use this year. Linda is also currently teaching movement, dance and yoga to children in Napa's public elementary schools.
Martin Reisberg, B'Nai Mitzvah Teacher
Martin Reisberg is happily returning to teach the B'nai Mitzvah class. A University of Chicago graduate, now retired, he brings a wealth of Torah and Talmud knowledge from his orthodox childhood and deftly transforms and transmits this into Jewish Humanist values for the B'nai Mitzvah group. It is clear, from last year, that a mutual admiration exists between he and his students.
